Vikas also has a strong educational background which includes a Bachelors of Arts and a Diploma in Business Management. Added to all these skills, he can fluently speak three languages i.e. English, Hindi and Punjabi, which is a real asset when dealing with cultural or language barriers.

I started off my journey just searching for a property suitable for me and my partner - essentially in the same position as a first home buyer. I met them in an open home and they were both friendly and welcoming. One of the impressions I got was they were genuine people, Not just salespeople with an agenda but they genuinely cared and wanted to help me find my first home to live in. We exchanged contact details and what had followed was a testament to their amazing service and work.
Knowing I worked a regular 9-6, they scheduled viewings that came close to my budget and things that ticked my criteria boxes around my schedule. While it seemed Irregular to us,they were showing us homes at 7pm - 8pm like it was no trouble at all. The more we interacted with them the more we realised they were genuine people just trying to to me find my first home. We were shown homes on the market, listed by other Barfoot & Thompson salespeople to homes not yet on the market that were big potentials for us. We were shown at least 10+ homes that ticked the boxes and even made an offer on one or two that didn't go through.
They walked us through the entire buying process and no question was absurd or crazy. In a way they just made you feel like you were talking to a genuine friend. They gave us very sound advance regarding what sort of offer we should put one on thewe ended up buying. The situation was a multi-offer and while we knew the house was going to be a competitive bid they advised us to put more favourable terms to help put our offer to the top of the list for the buyer such as a quick settlement date and asking price.
After we won the multi-offer, we had the boys help us work through the next steps to getting through to unconditional with the building report. Once all cleared they were asked to be kept in the loop with our lawyers so we could organise pre-settlement inspections and everything for settlement day. Unfortunately, in the process, the listing salesperson had taken the key when we had gone to do the pre settlement inspection and we could not do this until settlement day as he had shipped the key from his office to head office to your office. While this was a big concern, the boys gave us advice and kept us informed every step of the way so we could have our pre-settlement inspection sorted prior to settlement - even if it meant having a locksmith come and let us in at the cost of the listing salesperson.
Overall I am 100% satisfied with my service with these two gentlemen and they made dealing with Barfoot & Thompson so easy.. I see genuine care from them and I know when I'm ready to list and upgrade to my next home I will 100% be listing with them. I hope you know you have a genuine pair of superstars on your hands.

Our whole experience during the sale of our property was such a smooth process, we had no issues at all and we were very happy with the result as well. We would not have achieved that without the help from the two awesome salespeople, Vikas and Shaival. They were very calm, very patient and always gave us notice in advance during open homes, private viewings or even just to answer a text message or phone call late at night. We will definitely come back in future if we decide to sell again or to buy another property.

Leahnora It was a chance meeting that we had with Shaival and Vikas when we wanted to view a property advertised online on Clark Road. At first we felt a bit rushed when we said we were thinking of putting our own property on the market. That very same afternoon - we signed up with Barfoot & Thompson to sell our property.
Over the course of a month we developed a close relationship with them, and they no longer felt like they were our salespeople but our friends. They advised us about how the market was, is and what to expect. With such knowledge from these two, it gave us a fair idea of where we wanted to be in the housing market.
We thank them for their no mucking around approach to selling and also helping us to secure another property to move to once settlement was complete on our current property. The timings were matched well, not only for us, but even our buyer and the family that we bought the house from as they had found a house too.
We admire their commitment, work ethic, professionalism, friendly and positive attitude, that always made us feel like we were their number one priority despite other clients that they had. Ongoing communication, quick and easy - their determination to see our property sold at the best price - often reminding us of our goal - is to sell (doesn't matter who to). Also their desire to see us on our way after securing the sale - into another new, safe and solid home.
The Taufas I'm not normally the type of person to take the time to write reviews, but I was so thoroughly impressed by the job that Vikas and Shaival, did that I felt compelled to share my experience. Right from the start, the team of two were friendly and listened to what we wanted, without giving off a feeling of pressure or obligation. We were well informed and able to make a decision in our own time, and since it was the sale of our first home it wasn't the easiest decision to make. But with both of their guidance and knowledge of the market we decided to take the leap, and it was the best thing we have done.
We decided to list during the middle of the week and they were quick to arrange the photos, video and a sign, all in time for our first open home that weekend. By the Monday following the first open homes, we had already received our first offer, plus a counter offer, which took us by surprise in such a short space of time. After a short negotiation we agreed on a price and the house went unconditional a week later. The whole process was seamless and handled very professionally.
It was so good in fact, that a friend of ours in the area asked if she could get their contact details as her house had been on the market for six months with no bites. All it took was Vikas and Shaival to get involved and the house was sold in a day!
So it goes to show it's not always what you know but who you know, and if you're selling your house then this team of two is all you need to get results. They get my vote for sure and I would highly recommend them both. You won't be disappointed.

Judith While I was considering selling, I applied for a virtual evaluation of my property. I was flooded with salespeople coming to see me and doing their sales pitch. I was quite overwhelmed with all the different options and values and even things that were pointed out for me to have attended to in order to make it an easy sell for the salesperson.
Vikas’s approach was very different. He was very direct, straight up, genuine and honest. He gave me an evaluation that I felt was realistic. He explained the whole process and all the costs involved very clearly. He made me and my partner feel like we in good hands and would be taken care of.
Well to say the very least, he took great care of us. His attention to detail was awesome. He was always in full communication with us and went to all ends and at very late hours in the evening to get this deal over the line. I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with the service we received from Vikas and I have already referred him to my friends when they are ready to sell and I will continue to refer him. Pieter In July 2019 I sent a few emails to various real estate agents to get interest in selling our property in Papakura. Vikas Kapoor from Barfoot & Thompson contacted me back promptly and was able to visit that same morning. He was polite and professional and confident. He quickly enlisted a team in Alison Kemp and the two of them met with us to outline their strategy and how they could do the best for us with the sale. They were both confident and skilled in working with people, first and foremost. I was impressed from the first contact with Vikas.
Vikas and Alison worked really well together - I never felt that one was taking over or that one knew more than the other - very professional and collegial. It was never a problem to contact either one and they were both quick to respond. Vikas always took the time to explain terms and concepts, often needing patience when I was unsure of how to proceed, or unfamiliar with the ways of real estate. We come from different backgrounds but there was no barrier thanks to Vikas' skill in real estate, English skill and personable manner. I never felt that I was in the dark, or being misled.
